Students of IKDSD sometimes sit Zazen (Mediation) in front   of this statue of the Buddha.  Other objects used in prayer are the Dorje (front left), the Phurbhu "sin nail or knife" (front right), prayer wheel (front, far right), prayer bell (above left of Dorje) and the bronze gong (far left with red handled hammer).  Incense is burnt as an offering during prayer and chanting.
