Dr. Gagnon, student of  Sensei Arthur Bolen, is seen on the far left of this picture in the Iaido Class of Muso Jikiden Eishin-Ryu Iaido led by visiting Sensei Maruyama.  The draw of the sharpened Katana being practiced, comes from the Tatehiza (half-kneeling) position, but began in Seiza (full kneeling position).  It is the Nukisuke draw from the Mae Waza set of draws and will be completed by a standing cut straight down (Furikaburi from Tachi) and a swing of the blade (Ha) downward (Chiburi) to symbolize removing the blood  that would be on the blade .
